Question about dehydrating zucchini

Should zucchini be steamed before dehydrating? The information on dehydrate2store was a little confusing. The tips said to steam but the video said raw. THere was also a suggestion to grate the zucchini before dehydrating if you plan on using it in baked breads. I do like zucchini bread but don't like the idea of having to do a separate grated batch for baking - any way around this? Perhaps rehydrating and pureeing?
