Introduction
The clothes that people voluntarily choose to wear during normal times are usually not the same types of clothes that they choose to wear during hard times. During normal times people are more concerned about their appearance in public and in the way they appear to their friends and family. During hard times these "appearance" issues become less important and the functionality of a person's clothes become much more important.
