This about the best site for inverters that I have ever seen. I ordered a 1200 watt inverter 4--5 years ago from this site for $89.00 +SH.

They have FAQ section with a lot of charts and calculations. Lots of info. There are several pictures also. In a pinch you can raise the hood up on your car or truck and hook the inverter to the battery.
